Terms & Conditions

Please read these terms carefully before using Challenger Bot. They cover your rights, responsibilities, and the important competitive-gaming disclaimer.

Last updated: 19 April 2026 Effective: 19 April 2026

01 //Introduction

Welcome to Challenger Bot ("Challenger Bot", "the Service", "we", "us", or "our"). These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Challenger Bot software, its companion dashboard, the promotional website, and any related tools we provide (collectively, the "Service").

By downloading, installing, activating, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to any part of these Terms, you must not install or use the Service.

02 //Definitions

  • User / Streamer / You: the individual or entity that installs, runs, or operates Challenger Bot on a computer under their control.
  • Viewer: any person who interacts with a Twitch channel on which Challenger Bot is active.
  • Twitch: Twitch Interactive, Inc. Challenger Bot is an independent product and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Twitch.
  • Anti-Cheat System: any software, service, or policy operated by a game developer, publisher, platform, league, or tournament organizer that detects or penalises input automation, macros, scripting, or other automated interaction with a game.
  • License Key: the access credential issued via our licensing provider (LemonSqueezy) that enables the Service on your hardware.

03 //Acceptance of Terms

You accept these Terms by (a) clicking "I agree" or an equivalent control during installation or activation, (b) entering a valid License Key, or (c) continuing to use the Service after these Terms have been made available to you. The individual accepting these Terms represents that they have authority to bind themselves and, where applicable, the entity they represent.

04 //Competitive Games & Anti-Cheat Disclaimer

Important — Read Carefully

Challenger Bot is an input automation and entertainment tool. It simulates keyboard presses, swaps mouse buttons, executes AutoHotkey scripts, rotates the display, spawns overlays, and performs other actions in response to Twitch chat commands.

Many competitive games, platforms, and tournament organizers treat this kind of automation as cheating, macroing, or unauthorised third-party software. Running the Service while such games are open — including but not limited to titles protected by Vanguard, VAC, BattlEye, Easy Anti-Cheat, FACEIT Anti-Cheat, or ESEA — may trigger detection and result in game bans, account suspensions, hardware bans, rank resets, or loss of in-game progress and purchases.

The decision to run Challenger Bot at any given moment, in any given game, and on any given account is entirely the streamer’s responsibility. You accept all risk of such outcomes and agree that Challenger Bot and its authors, operators, contributors, and distributors have no liability for bans, penalties, financial losses, or other consequences resulting from that decision.

Recommended precautions

  • Only use the Service with casual, party, sandbox, or single-player titles that do not prohibit input automation.
  • Never run the Service while a competitive or ranked match is active.
  • Consider using a secondary account or machine if you are unsure whether a given game’s anti-cheat will flag the Service.
  • Read and respect the terms of service, code of conduct, and anti-cheat policy of every game you play on stream.
  • Close the Service fully before launching any title whose rules you have not verified.

05 //User Responsibilities

As the Streamer operating Challenger Bot, you are solely responsible for:

  • Ensuring your use of the Service complies with Twitch’s Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.
  • Complying with the terms of service, end-user license agreements, and anti-cheat policies of every game, platform, league, or tournament you participate in.
  • Obtaining and protecting your Twitch OAuth token, bot credentials, and License Key.
  • Supervising your chat. You are responsible for all actions triggered by viewers in your channel while the Service is running, including content displayed via overlays or text-to-speech.
  • The physical and digital state of your own computer, peripherals, and accounts.
  • Complying with applicable local, national, and international laws, including those governing minors, broadcasting, accessibility, and consumer protection.

06 //Eligibility

You must be at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction (and in any case no younger than 13) to use the Service. If you are between 13 and the age of majority, you may only use the Service with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to be bound by these Terms on your behalf.

07 //Acceptable Use

You agree that you will not, and will not permit any Viewer or third party to:

  • Use the Service to cheat, gain an unfair advantage, or otherwise circumvent the rules of any competitive game, league, or tournament.
  • Use the Service to harass, stalk, threaten, defame, or harm any person, including via text-to-speech, overlays, or automated chat responses.
  • Use the Service to distribute malware, spyware, or any other harmful code.
  • Use the Service to violate intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or any applicable law.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service except to the limited extent expressly permitted by applicable law.
  • Share, resell, rent, or sublicense your License Key, or attempt to activate more installations than your license allows.
  • Bypass, disable, or tamper with the licensing, hardware-binding, or telemetry components of the Service.
  • Use the Service in life-critical, safety-critical, medical, or high-risk environments.

08 //License & Intellectual Property

Subject to your compliance with these Terms and payment of any applicable fees, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and run the Service on hardware you own or control, solely for your personal or internal business streaming activities.

All rights not expressly granted are reserved. Challenger Bot, its source code, binaries, graphics, logos, and documentation are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual-property laws.

Third-party libraries bundled with or used by the Service remain the property of their respective authors and are distributed under their own licenses.

09 //Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with or depends on third-party products including, without limitation, Twitch, LemonSqueezy (licensing), AutoHotkey, Google Text-to-Speech, and Python runtime dependencies. Your use of those products is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

We are not responsible for any act, omission, outage, data loss, policy change, or liability arising from your use of any third-party product in combination with the Service.

10 //Privacy & Data

Challenger Bot stores the following data locally on your machine: a SQLite database (twitch_bot.db) containing chat-message metadata and challenge triggers; a license cache file at ~/.twitch_bot_license.json containing your License Key, instance ID, and a derived hardware identifier; and runtime files under the application’s files/ directory.

For license activation and revalidation we transmit your License Key and derived hardware identifier to our licensing provider (LemonSqueezy). We do not sell personal data, and we do not operate any analytics that identify individual Viewers. Chat content captured locally by the Service never leaves your machine unless you configure the Service to do so.

You may delete all local data at any time by uninstalling the Service and removing its data directories. If you have questions about the handling of your data, please contact us at the address in Section 17.

11 //Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or compatible with any particular game, anti-cheat system, operating-system version, hardware configuration, or streaming workflow. We do not warrant that use of the Service will not be detected or flagged by any third-party platform.

12 //Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL CHALLENGER BOT, ITS AUTHORS, OPERATORS, CONTRIBUTORS, LICENSORS, OR DISTRIBUTORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, GOODWILL, DATA, IN-GAME ITEMS, RANK, ACCOUNTS, OR VIEWERSHIP, WHETHER ARISING IN CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STRICT LIABILITY, OR OTHERWISE, AND WHETHER OR NOT WE WERE ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

WITHOUT LIMITING THE FOREGOING, WE EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM LIABILITY FOR ANY GAME BAN, ACCOUNT SUSPENSION, HARDWARE BAN, TOURNAMENT DISQUALIFICATION, OR OTHER PENALTY IMPOSED BY ANY GAME PUBLISHER, PLATFORM, OR ANTI-CHEAT SYSTEM AS A RESULT OF YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY UNDER OR IN CONNECTION WITH THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU ACTUALLY PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.

13 //Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Challenger Bot, its authors, operators, contributors, licensors, and distributors from and against any and all claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to (a) your use of the Service, (b) your breach of these Terms, (c) your violation of any third-party right (including any game publisher’s or platform’s rules or anti-cheat policy), or (d) content displayed or actions triggered on your stream while the Service is running.

14 //Termination

We may suspend or terminate your license and access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately and you must stop using and delete all copies of the Service in your possession.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including Sections 4, 5, 7, 8, 11, 12, 13, and 16 — will survive.

15 //Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated in-app or by email where practical. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Service.

16 //Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and the jurisdiction of the operator, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. The parties agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of that jurisdiction for any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any competent court.

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
